How Water Rates Are Calculated
Rand Communities Water District water charges are based on meter size and water usage. The District currently provides rate schedules for 5/8 inch meter service and 1 inch meter service.
Each schedule lists the total water charge by usage amount. Usage is shown in 100-gallon increments, with the total charge shown in the “Total” column.

The 1 inch meter schedule shows a total charge of $71.00 at 0 gallons, then $73.00 at 100 gallons, $75.00 at 200 gallons, and continues increasing by $2.00 per 100 gallons in the visible schedule.
